How it works
Five stops from first call to last court date
Nothing is filed until you have read the papers and signed them.
- 01
Step 1: Reach out any way you like
We answer by the next business day. The first call is free and takes about half an hour.
- 02
Step 2: Bring what you have
A list of what you owe and earn is enough to start. We give you a short checklist for the rest.
- 03
Step 3: Choose with us
We tell you whether Chapter 7, Chapter 13 or something else fits, and put the fee in writing. You decide.
- 04
Step 4: We file, and collection stops
We file with the bankruptcy court and notify your creditors, your employer and the foreclosure trustee if there is one.
- 05
Step 5: Go to court once, with us
Most clients attend one short meeting with the trustee, with a lawyer beside them. A Chapter 13 adds a hearing on the plan.
Before the second meeting
A folder, not a mountain
Bankruptcy paperwork has a reputation. The list is shorter than people fear, and we help you find anything missing.
The checklist
Pay stubs from the last six months
Bank statements from the last six months
Your last two years of tax returns
Letters, lawsuits and bills from creditors
Mortgage and car loan statements

Begin with one short call
Call or text. No papers needed yet.
The first call is free and does not start a case.
